Kumihimo Class – May 18th

Time: Saturday -1:00- 5:00pm
Cost: Fee is $36.00  plus supplies
Description: Kumihimo is an ancient braiding technique that has origins in Japan and Peru. You will be learning to do this in a way that includes beads for beautiful necklaces and bracelets.

Barb Knoche is the instructor for this class. She will assist a beginner as well as challange for the more advanced Kumihimo student.

SIGN UP EARLY - (All levels are welcome) THERE IS HOMEWORK for this class.

Tango in the afternoon – May 30th

We do a kit a month and May's Kit is the Tango Kit.

Time: 3 - 6pm
Cost: Fee is $30 plus Kit (Discounted 50% for this class)
Description: The Tango bracelet was designed by Arlene Reller and published in Bead and Button.  In the Tango Kit class you will learn a new way to stitch the popular Harringbone or Ndebele stitch.  It will help to have had prior needle weaving experience. We rank this kit as Intermediate.

Wrap It up Bracelet – May 25th

Time: 1 - 3:30pm

Class Fee: $20 plus supplies

Students will need to provide a sturdy picture frame in the size of 8X10" or 9X12" (remove the glass)

You can't make just one!  If you need somthing new to wear to work or school tomorrow, this is it.  Or, if you get up a little early, you make it in the morning.

Batik a Name

Pottery Spoon Rests

They come in sets of 2 and you'll find their uses go way beyond the term of spoon rests. Handmade by our local functional pottery artist Dianne Lockerby. We sell many many of these in the shop and just a few folks will say they are going to use them for their spoons. It is always a chuckle. Little mini holders that measure 2" X 3.5". They are great gifts for small guest soaps. (Which we also sell in our shop), an earring or ring tray for your dresser, a tea bag holder, a name tag holder and guest gift and yes you can use them on your kitchen counter for your spoon holder. State the color you would like in the notes on the order.

Paper Earrings

Have you ever heard of paper earrings??? This is just one pair of many beautiful choices we carry in the shop. Elizabeth Schott loves beautiful papers, beads and wire. Light weight, easy to wear and basically one of a kind. Not at all fragile - they are really wonder to give as gifts or wear out. I guarentee you, people will ask to look at your earrings.  ALSO coming soon will be Elizabeth's Paper Necklaces and Earring Sets. I can't help but tell you. I just saw them this week and LOVED THE LOOK! Stay tuned.

Creative Pin Cushion Displays

Yes these are pin cushions, or jewelry display pieces or decor pieces. The stand is a re-purposed candle holder and the jar is a mini mason jar...no kidding. How cute are these anyway? We are bringing a matching set to you because we feel they should be sold together. Because we do so much jewelry in our shop these types of items have been sold for jewelry display holders for necklaces. Also see how that you can actually stick in the earrings into the cloth or store in the jar space below.  BUT OF COURSE you can use as pin cushions for all your sewing items. Either way what a cute and creative set.

Made of precious metal clay, these handtooled pendants and charms are personalized with fingerprints, letters and words, shapes and stones to delight the gift giver as well as the gift getter.
